Today, together with Sharon, the art teacher, we took part in an international art project: children created letters and drawings for children in Palestine — using art as a way to make their voices visible and to feel connected.
It was really beautiful to see how engaged everyone was.
We could only take as many children as legally fit into Sharon’s car and her husband’s car. Driving to Philippi is too dangerous, and the children cannot walk to the meeting point on their own. Thankfully, Siya, an assistant teacher from Philippi, picked the children up from school and walked with them to the meeting point.
